Explanation Letters
A letter of explanation should be short and to the point. You may be asked to explain not only that you experienced some sort of temporary difficulty, but also that the situation was temporary and has since been rectified. If your letter is explaining bankruptcy, it is best to be completely honest and thoroughly exclaim your situation at that point in time. Detail your hardships and in with an explanation of your financial behavior and how it has changed for the better since your bankruptcy.
