1) Regarding the 30 day payment window, is it a rolling pay day, i.e., will 5 accepted letters over 5 continous days will yield 5 straight paydays in 30 days? Thanks

You're exactly right. Thirty days from the first sale you will receive your first payment and so on, thirty days from each sale. ___________________________________________________________________ |

2) I want to get paid for my writing skills. How can LetterRep help me?

LetterRep.com puts writers in touch with those who need something written. Each week, we get hundreds of requests from people who are searching for something they need written. Writers can view these requests and upload works in response. Writers can also upload works of their own, not in response to a request.

3) I had a 10 dollar balance in my account. Where did that 10 dollars go? Was it sent to me? thanks.

As soon as we make a payment either by check, PayPal or Western Union, we change the writer's account from a 'Due' status to 'Paid.'
If a writer has chosen the 'Snail Mail' check option, then it is very likely that a delay exists between the time the check is cut and when it arrives in the mail at the writer's address.
We highly recommend that writers create a free PayPal account which gives them instant access to their funds. Visit PayPal to set up your account and remove this delay. _____________________________________________________________________ |

4) If I have a PayPal account, what do I enter under the that prompt when signing up?

Enter the email address that PayPal uses as your account name. _____________________________________________________________________ |

5) Are authors notified every time a letter of theirs is purchased, and which letter, so they can keep track of sales and which letters are successful?

Yes. After a writer submits a letter to the site and it is reviewed and approved, an email gets sent to the writer stating that the letter was 'Made Live.' At the same time, another email gets automatically sent to the requestor announcing that a new letter has been submitted in response to the request. The email contains a link back to the site where the requestor can review the letter details. After the requestor arrives, they have the option to enter a Letter Retrieval Code indicating that the letter has been chosen by the requestor. By entering this code and accepting the letter, the writer is credited with the purchase and an email is automatically sent announcing that the letter has been purchased. ____________________________________________________________________ |

6) In "my work report" there is a line item "number of clicks," which, when I click into it only lists my letters, but does not tell me how many clicks each letter attracted. I have sold two letters, so I should have at least a click on each of those, right? Please advse.

Above the box to the right should be a link entitled, 'Total Report.' Click it and your totals will be added. _____________________________________________________________________ |

7) When is payment rendered? Is it on a quarterly basis or once you reach a certain payment threshhold? Thanks.

Payment is rendered 30 days after a letter is sold. The reason for this is because requestors are given 30 days to evaluate their letters and the site and request a refund, if desired. We are proud to say that LetterRep.com enjoys a less than 1% refund request rate. ____________________________________________________________________ |

8) Do you charge money from writers for giving the work opportunity?

No...we pay writers $10.00 each time one of their works sells.

9) I wish to know more about your nature of letter writing for LetterRep, and I would like to know can we have our payments by Cheques instead of depositing it in our Paypal account.

We've made writing for LetterRep as easy as possible.
1) Create an account by clicking on the 'Make Money Writing Letters' link at the bottom of any page on the site;
2) Review the 'Current Requests' and 'Prepay Requests' page. Here you'll find requests submitted by visitors for letters they need. Click the Request link and write a letter right on the site in response.
3) When the requestor accepts the letter you will get paid for the letter. If future visitors come to the site and purchase your letter, you'll also get paid.
It's that easy.
LetterRep.com will cut a check for writers living in the U.S. International writers can have payments made by PayPal or Western Union. |

10) Can non-U.S. writers use PayPal?

Yes, Pay Pal works in a number of non-US countries. For a complete list, as well as information on opening up an international account, see the Pay Pal international account info page. Please note that Pay Pal will charge a money conversion fee to convert the funds from US to your local currency.

11) I'm getting warnings about my Internet Explorer browser being old. What's this about?

You are running an old internet browser (Internet Explorer v5.x) in which Microsoft has found a number of bugs. These bugs will not only cause problems for you on some of the advanced features of LetterRep.com, but also exposes you to security risks on all sites on the Internet.
Microsoft provides new and upgraded versions of its software for no charge via download from the Internet, or via CD for a nominal charge. You are highly recommended to take advantage of all the latest bug fixes and security advances by downloading the free newest version of Internet Explorer. |

12) Is social security number needed to become a writer?

Writers' Social Security Numbers are necessary for ensuring the site has proper tracking for IRS tax purposes. Currently, we are investigating the possibilities of using personal contact information, other than SSNs, in reporting payments to the IRS. _____________________________________________________________________

13) What happens to the letters I upload in response to requests that are not purchased by the requestor?

Those letters are included in our Custom Letter inventory. In the future, when visitors come to the site and conduct searches, when your letter is a search result and found to meet their needs they can purchase your letter as if they had requested it. The pricing remains the same. You earn $10.00US if a new visitor joins for it and $10.00US if a current registered member purchases it.

14) How can I know which letters, press releases or speeches to write and upload?

We get hundreds of requests each week for specific letters that visitors and registered members can't find on the site and we post these to our 'Current Requests' page. Click 'Current Requests' link in the left menu to see a list of the last 5 days of requests.

15) I lost my account name and password....what should I do?

LetterRep.com uses the email address that members provide when they register as the account name. If you know which email address you entered when registering, type that address into the 'Lost Password' feature and we'll send your password to that address.

16) What if the buyer (request person) does not purchase my letter but just reads and copies it? Since he or she can read it before buying it, they can easily copy the letter down or even just hit 'Print Screen'!

Actually, visitors to the site cannot read your letter. They do get to see a teaser (the first couple of lines of a letter) when the scroll over any on the site, but that is only to give them a feeling for how the letter is written and the direction it's heading. That teaser is not intended to 'give away the farm,' so to speak.
Try it...from the General Letters homepage, click on a category link. At the list of letters on any category page, hover your mouse over a link and you'll see the bit we allow visitors to read.
The one exception we have to this rule are the letters on the Free Letters page. These letters are those, however, that are rarely requested by visitors and the primary function of this page is to show visitors the functionality of the site. |

17) What are 'Unanswered Requests?'

'Unanswered Requests' are requests for which a purchase never resulted. All requests for which visitors have not yet joined the site remain in the 'Unanswered Requests' sections.
If you feel you have a letter that can satisfy the requestor's need, we encourage you to upload it to the site. |

18) Is it okay if I try to get people, other than the letter requestor, to buy my letters?

Sure. This question has been asked so frequently that we've created a feature on the site to help.
Login to your account and go to the 'My Live Works' page that lists all your current live works. In the right menu, you will see a menu choice entitled 'Link.' Click that menu choice and a window will appear containing the URL of the purchase page for your letter. You can post this link on sites where the letter is very pertinent.
Need to know the best places to put your links? Try this...
a) Forums/Blogs - if you write, for example, Collection Letters, search for forums or blogs that discuss how businesses can go about collecting from delinquent account holders. Join the discussion, establish yourself as the authority on how to write these letters and offer yours as a resource. If you write Letters of Recommendation, search for forums or blogs that discuss human resources or job searching and do the same. For just about any category of letters there's a forum or blog out there discussing the subject.
b) Write Articles - go to websites such as EzineArticles.com or GoArticles.com and submit articles on the subject surrounding the letters you've written. For example, if you can write Letters of Condolence, knowing how difficult it is to write this type of letter, submit an article that includes the link to your letter about the difficulty finding the right words.
c) Establish Link Exchanges - setup a link exchange with a site that will link back to your letter. Then, notify us with your partner's link information and we'll add them to the LetterRep.com Links page. Please understand that LetterRep.com reserves the right to establish links to all other sites and will not link to any sites that involve pornography, hate, terrorism, etc.
d) Pay-Per-Click Advertising - develop a pay-per-click advertising campaign with Google Adwords, Yahoo/Overture, etc., and drive traffic directly to your page.
There are probably dozens of other opportunities to market your letters that we're not mentioning here. If you know of one, please let us know so we can update this FAQ. |

19) How do you keep track of how much money I am owed?

Your letters have a special tracking code that distinguishes them from other letters on the site. When a requestor receives the email from us stating that a writer has uploaded a letter in response to their request, the link in that message will contain that code. When the visitor clicks that link, comes to your letter and joins, you get paid.

20) What happens if a requestor joins the site or buys my letter and then demands their money back?

New visitors and registered members are given 30 days after their registration or purchase, respectively, to request a refund. If any refunds are requested within this 30 day period, they are honored.
As much as we would like to say that there is something that can be done, we can't. We feel that it is ethically responsible to offer some sort of guarantee on our product in order to give compensation to those who are unsatisfied with their purchase; unfortunately, that offer sometimes attracts those who are in search of 'Something for Nothing.' We are proud to say that we get less than one percent who request their money back. We encourage writers write the best letters you possibly can in order to provide customers the quality that will satisfy them enough to come back for more letters...not for a refund. |

21) How do I get paid?

During the registration process you will be required to choose one of three methods for getting paid: By Check, Western Union or PayPal.

22) A request I saw before no longer appears. What happened to it?

Requests are left on the Current Requests page until either the requestor joined or until the request became older than 5 days. If the requestor joins the site for a letter that is written in response to a request, the request is completely removed from the requests area. If the letter request lasts longer on the site than 5 days without someone purchasing a letter in response, the request is moved to Unanswered Requests.

23) How does the 'Letter Writing for Money' process work?

It's Simple!! Here's how it works...
1) New visitors and current members look through the available letters on the site. If they don't see the letter they want, then they submit a request for a letter; 2) Those requests are posted to the 'Current Requests' page; 3) Writers, like you, read the letter requests and login to the Writer's section where they can click on the letter request and get taken to the editing page showing the request and the fields necessary to submit a letter response to the site; 4) Writers then submit their work for approval or save their work as a draft to come back to later; 5) After works are approved and 'Made Live,' usually within 6 to 12 hours, an email, stating that a new response to the request has been added to the site, is automatically sent to the requestor's email address. The email contains a link leading directly to your letter's purchase page. 6) The requestor clicks the link in the email, goes to the letter purchase page and when they purchase, you get $10.00US for letters, $10.00US for press releases and $10.00US for speeches
also...
when visitors come to the site and look for specific written works, if the one that is found and purchased is yours, you earn $10.00US for letters, $10.00US for press releases and $10.00US for speeches. |

24) Is there a way to earn money by suggesting custom letters written by other writers to requestors?

No. However, you can suggest your own custom letters or letters from the general inventory of the site. After logging in, click on the 'Current Requests' link. A dropdown menu will appear containing titles of all letters in the General Inventory and the custom YOU wrote and submitted. Choose the title and send it to the requestor. You earn $5.00US if they choose a letter from the General Inventory and $10.00US if they choose one of yours.

25) How long does the letter approval process take?

The approval process normally takes 6 to 12 hours, but even we have to sleep. We promise to have all responses posted as Live or Problem works within 24 hours.
